You have to search high, low, and sometimes in the middle The process is tedious and stressful, to be candid. I've never had an agent to look at apartments before so I didnt know what to expect. I reached out to find a place and I was connected to Zee. From day one, she was patient and prompt. She listened to our likes, dislikes, and must haves and came up with lists of apartments that she set up viewings for. Being a guy, I'm not that picky so i liked every place but for my gf, everything had to be perfect. Zee was able to navigate that and still find us perfect places. Zee was professional, knowledgable about areas in the city, responsive and flexible and was great to work with. She definitely needs a raise! Big thank you to her. Do not rent from this company. Properties are unsanitary and unsafe. Very unprofessional, unresponsive, and unorganized. Sudden unpaid move in balances have been presented to me 6 months after move in, but no one can give a straight answer as to what these fees are for...
Back deck common area is not up to code. All common areas are very dirty. Just the worst rental experiences of my life, and I ve rented a lot of places. Businesses should not be allowed to treat their customers this way.

I recently received a job offer that required me to move back to Chicago from out of state and it had been years since I rented in the city; after many lazy or unresponsive landlords and/or realtors, I came across an ad on Craigslist posted by Cory Storin at The Apartment Source.
Not only was he prompt in responding, but he instantly knew of several other options in the neighborhoods I was targeting that met my criteria and were on budget. After choosing a few places that looked the most promising on paper, he was able to get us into each apartment back-to-back within about an hour or so on the day of my choosing.
Ultimately, none of the original picks lined up exactly with what I was looking for BUT Cory never gave up. He went back to the drawing board and stayed in touch with me as new inventory became available (I even ran some of my own findings past his desk so he could look into them for me further - which was super helpful since many ads out there are old or have misinformation).
Once I made the decision to pull the trigger on a unit, Cory could not have been more helpful along the way. He made sure to inform me of all the fees and requirements ahead of time so that there were never any surprises along the way. The timeline from decision to approval was seamless and even faster than I anticipated--which I'm sure was thanks to Cory's endless follow up.
I will NEVER try to apartment hunt on my own again! Cory and The Apartment Source were literally invaluable and saved me so much time/stress/energy. I will be recommending Cory to anyone I hear that's looking for an apartment.

Our experience with the Apartment Source was sub-par. When we arrived in our new place, the bathroom was even dirtier than when we viewed it and had clearly not been cleaned as promised. Requests to have it cleaned were ignored. The keys to the unit were lost during a viewing prior to us, and the locks had to be changed. This did not happen until the very last minute, and only after we made multiple requests for keys.
Our realtor was Carly Boles and she was amazing. Super knowledgable and coincidentally previously lived in the building we were looking at. She was able to give us honest feedback about the property, which was stellar. Carly made apartment hunting easy, and was super accommodating with our move in date and location preferences. Carly was great and I highly recommend using her!
