Friendly staff that are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great wine with characteristics that differ from traditional standards. Make sure to try the Renegade if they still have it. If you are a local (I'm not ) I would recommend joining the club and going to their events.

Firstly, the wines are consistently excellent. What truly earns the 5 Stars is the customer service. Every time I've visited the tasting room I've received a warm welcome and top notch attention and service. Most recently, as a wine club member I had difficulty receiving my delivery as I wasn't home to sign for the package. UPS was unfortunately no assistance. Kendra, the Wine Club Coordinator, helped me out by getting the delivery address updated to my office for the next day.

A wonderful product supported by a wonder staff!

This is a nice option in our region for entertainment and learning. The people who work here are warm and accommodating. Light food menu, but good wines and a visit here can be a nice day, laid back.

What a nice find! Don, thanks for pointing us in the right direction. We really love Ancient Peaks. The wine and hospitality are simply outstanding. Our new "must stop" as we work our way through Central CA wine country. Enjoy!

We came in as a group of 8 from a different state. We agreed with Wendy on a price of $50 for the options we selected. With beautiful smiles, Wendy and co-worker then charged us $150+ without shame. This company property is beautiful, the wines were mediocre, and the integrity of the business is a .05. shame on you, Ancient Peaks, for taking advantage of a visiting family with your dishonesty.

Top notch customer service. Servers are nice to you even if you aren't an amateur sommelier or big spender. The wine offering has a good range, so you'll likely find something for everyone. I found their Renegade label very interesting and brought a bottle home for just over $20. Their signature Oyster Ridge label is wonderful at $60 a bottle. Tasting ranges from $10-15 with a selection of three wines with generous pours. We had a midweek lunch and where pleasantly surprised by the quality of dining. My experience was great. Now I'm looking for excuses to visit Santa Margarita.

Such a nice winery! For a producer of such volume (38,000 cases/year) they are so friendly and personable at their tasting room (extra thanks to Natalie and Ellie). It was a very pleasant surprise. Wine favorites were Malbec, Merlot and Cab (estate). P.S. Heard about Ancient Peaks because of Paso Robles Inn (our room was decorated by Ancient Peaks).

Very good price/performance on the wine the Cabernet Sauvignon and Savingon Blanc were standouts. The also have a good cheese platter available. In addition there is a full cafe menu.. Quiet and unassuming, but excellent. Prompt and informed service, nice outdoor deck

Nice winery with indoor and outdoor dog friendly seating. They also have a good selection of food including sandwiches and cheese plates. Food and cheese is good. Some vegitarian options. Right on highway 58 so outdoors can be a little noisy but overall very nice.

Nice place for some good wine and lunch. The only thing I did not like is they advertise a $5 additional charge for doing a split plate. Which does not feel right. Why penalize a couple for wanting to share a small plate?

We've been drinking Ancient Peaks wine for about five years, maybe longer. When we lived in Minnesota we had went to wine seminar where the guest speaker was the Wine Maker from Ancient Peaks. We were hooked.

We visited in 2018 to see the winery. My husband and one of our friends also did the Zipline at Margarita Adventures.

We moved to California August 2018 and this was our first chance to get up to Paso for a visit.

We did not have appointment but they were able to find us a table. We bought two bottle, Renegade and Pearl Chardonnay. They were fabulous as always.

Thank you for finding us a table!

Nice spot in downtown Santa Margarita. They have a cafe that serves lunch options as well as the tasting room. The area can get hot and they have a nicely air conditioned tasting room. The wines are very nice and the food is above average.

Unbelievable wines and an amazing value! Ancient Peak tasting room has such a modern, natural feel, and their staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. My husband and I stopped in by recommendation from a different winery and were thrilled with the wines! Their Zinfandel definitely took the gold in my books! Particularly the 2016.
