After owning my system for about a year and a half...

After owning my system for about a year and a half I think now would be a good time to leave a review. My experience with EmPower Solar, their name when my system was installed, has been a rocky one to put it lightly and today is no exception. From the minute my salesman left the company we were put in a state of limbo for months up months and then handed off from one person to the next. 8 months later my system was finally to be installed. The installation team was absolutely top notch. Guys everywhere and they truly did an amazing job. Couldn't be happier with that part of the job. Now we are back to dealing with the office staff and "Managers of this and that" and the run around picks up where we left off. Finally get the app installed and running and was told "don't worry, we monitor your system for any issues and if we see one we will notify you".
Fast froward to yesterday (7/16/2017) as I'm cutting the lawn and pass my inverter. Never paid it any mind because all seemed well. Pushed the button and got nothing. Look and I have Malfunction and Fault light lit. So i thought this just must have happened because I was told they monitor it too. Open the app only to find my system has been producing ZERO since April 9th to July 16th. Guess I shouldn't have expected much since it's been a battle with them for so long. It was explained to me today that I can setup alerts if there's an issue like this but why wasn't this explained to me when my system went live a year and a half ago???
They say they build relationships with customers so our has become a love/hate relationship and doesn't appear to be getting any better.
1/12/2021 Update
I now have my 2nd roof leak from the tracks installed on my roof. They fixed one a year ago that left me with water pouring through my ceiling fan. Now I have a new one coming from the same area. Last time they drilled a lag bolt into the beam but went sideways so they pulled it out and never sealed it. This one was roofing nails they pulled out to make room for a track foot and they never sealed that. I can t imagine what other homeowners are dealing with but experience with them has been nothing short of AWFUL.
