I had been thinking about going solar almost 2 yrs ago, and even got an early proposal. Other circumstances force a postponement of that until this year. Then I did extensive research in earnest. There were a couple of companies that just turned me off right away. Others impressed me. In the end, it was the SunPower technology that that won me over. In my reference research, I even encountered someone who went with another company for installation and financing, but decided on the SunPower panels.At that point, it made sense to me to go with a master dealer for SunPower. That's where EmPower Solar came in. Salesperson Beth Austin made everything very clear for me and the whole team was very professional and open with me. Everything they said was making sense based on the research I had done. They came up with a design that they said should provide 98% of my usage. I was happy that installation was done less than 3 months after signing the contract. It took a day and a bit. So far, my system is in fact covering just about 100% of my usage. Even with the heat waves we've had, my PSEG netmeter is still reading below the kWh it was at when my system went live.
