It's been a year since my mother's stroke. Celebrated her 're-birth' with a meal from the Taj West End, using Qmin delivery. It was flawlessly executed by Qmin manager Zuben and Chef Deepankar. There was a slight confusion between dispatch time and delivery time and when it was brought to their notice, they went out of their way to open the kitchen early and deliver even 5 mins before time. Prior to the order Chef Deepankar put all my anxieties at ease, this being covid time, telling me of all the steps taj takes to ensure safety, including how food handlers stay on site for a month at a time. My mother really enjoyed the food, every single dish from appetizer to dessert. I had ordered 5 veg appetizers(paneer, tofu, broccoli, potatoes, and dahisinghada) which were out of the world, 3 main veg dishes including impeccable dal makhani, parathas, outstanding rasmalai and a very flavorful veg biryani (Lucknow style), all from Masala Klub, and a butterscotch praline cake( cream was fresh and excellent). I changed my order a couple of times and they were very patient with that. The delivery was contactless, with the delivery boy gloved and masked up. The food was packed in eco friendly and sustainable packaging, which my 83 year old mother thought was so good that she thought that it was vacuum packed! Everyone was delighted with the meal and suffered no ill effects later. Taj totally lived up to its name.
