I really appreciate the treatment my brother received when he was admitted long-term last month. It is clear, compared to other hospitals, that Sheppard Pratt is genuinely interested in comprehensively treating him. They understand that context and history are essential in the treatment of psychiatric conditions and even though they couldn t share any information about my brother with me, they were receptive to any information I had about him. They asked questions that clinicians have never asked before, showing that they are genuinely interested in treating my brother. Other hospitals have been very resistant to any information I had and very protective of him, which really interferes with treatment.
