This makes the third stay for us. I am forced to change my rating from over two years ago solely because of some maintenance problems. I will tell you right off that the hotel is perfectly situated in Gatlinburg with pristine views. The staff is excessively friendly. The pool is perfect for kids. Our last visit, plus the one we finished up just hours ago was riddled with problems with maintenance, prompting the change in stars. We walked into an 80 degree room with no functioning A/C. "Junior", Their maintenance guy, came up and reset some sort of outlet. It functioned again for a couple hours and we essentially just rinsed and repeated to fix the problem over 3 days. Later that evening when we showered, the drains would not drain. Our showers turned into filled tubs. Once again, "Junior" came up and unclogged it. Roughly an hour later, the same exact problem with our sinks; No draining.
The 2nd night our kids came to stay. On the other queen bed in the room the sheets smelled rancid, brought to our attention by our 11 year old. There was some sort of deep stain underneath the liner, our best guess being puke. We requested a change of linen.

Now...these may be fluke items, because everything else is spectacular it almost guilts me into not wanting to complain about it, but for the price we expect simple things like this to not be overlooked. Will we stay again ? It's a coin flip. Hard to find pet friendly clean hotels.
