This is San Francisco s downtown area, and one of the most happening places in the city. Around the square there are a lot of department stores, boutiques, hotels and restaurants. Further down are theatres, shopping malls and cinemas. On the square is an amphitheater where there are performances in the evening. A good place to hang out, shop a bit, and eat. You can also catch a historical cable car from here to the Fisherman s Wharf.
