In Oakland for a conference and hit Somar when the gorgeous jazz hit my ears while I was waddling down the street. Amazing bartenders who were really loving and smiling. Kick ass wine! I'm going back tonight for empanadas! Anytime I'm in Oakland, I am coming to this damn place.

Good music for dancing. No gender inclusive restrooms but a couple stalls in women s restroom. No cover before 10 PM, and people will start dancing before 10 PM. One of my favorite bars in Oakland. Had a long day at the office? Get the Ricky Bobby trust me folks. This place get LIT past 8pm and before you know it people start dancing.There's usually food outside too. Shout out to Larry for always taking care of me.

Gotta catch them on the right night. Depending on the bartenders, I've either really enjoyed or hated the experience. My female bartenders have never let me down. Fun spot to go with drink specials. Ask the bartenders for recommendations.

Love the place! Didn't like how I was in and went out to smoke only to be told to get back in line. I was told I could just go back inside, wouldn't have smoked if that was the case. That was the first time that happened though so maybe will be coming back.
