Great place to go too but wasn't happy with the corporate night out with a vegetarian meal having crisps and corn on the cob and a main meal
Great place to go too but wasn't happy with the corporate night out with a vegetarian meal having crisps and corn on the cob and a main meal
Great Neil Sedaka show. Sage Theate is amazing. Due to Great North Run couldn't use bottom car park. Sage car park a nightmare to get out.
Had a cafe bit pricy but nice also amazing views and good far a little walk down the river.
Fantastic music venue with some of the best acoustics in the Country. They often have artists and musicians you should not miss.
Excellent venue with superb acoustics but the bar service is often slow and the wine is always awful. Fix the bar and get the extra star !!!
Came for a concert and a meal in the cafe. Not much choice for gluten and dairy free. Ended up with the ubiquitous baked potato. Disappointed.
On the other hand it is possible to get there in a wheelchair from all over Tyneside by bus and metro. And be well catered for in every way.
Nice view
But the glass makes it like a green house... good to warm up in the winter but bad in the summer
Really needs ventilation or fans ....uncomfortable to sit in
Amazing sound in whichever hall you visit. A little pricey for a day out, but it is right in the cultural centre of things.
Seems if your disabled now you have to jump through hoops to get a ticket for your self and carea rude on the phone
Great disabled amenities but there's more to it than having a disabled bathroom being treat with dignity and kindness the supervisor I spoke to me in a rude manner not impressed

Nice venue attended different events for classical music and it was superb.
Great venue great show but getting there and back not good.buses only run every half hour.if you miss one then hard steep walk back to Gateshead metro bus /metro interchange.
Squeeze last night , can only say one thing , amazing !
Disappointed with Overtones performance too loud and acoustics not good
went here to take beutiful pictures of the gloryous place they call the sydney opera hoose
Awful customer service agent on the phone. Very condescending and unpleasant when trying to change the date of a ticket which had been booked incorrectly. Disconnected the phone call when asked to speak with a manager.
Beautiful building. It's a prominent speck on the Newcastle city view. Right next to the gates millennium bridge. Looks great at night as well. Famous for the shows/ performances too. Has a quite interior and usually isn't crowded.
Great venue, thanks to all the staff for being so helpful.
A great place, making a huge impression with its modern architecture where I have witnessed many unforgettable musical events with the participation of world-class stars. Great interior acoustics of concert halls.
The west sun came from the glass ceiling and it was a bit hot. But the scenery is the best! The night view is brilliant.
Amazing! I go there every week for a flute lesson. Also they have nice food in their cafe and restaurant.
Stunning building next to the river Tyne. Great music.
Something for everyone. First visit and think it:"s a fantastic facility.
Been here a few time, just for concerts. Wonderful venue, great acoustics in both 1 and 2. Probably not a bad seat in the house. Looking forward to the next time.
My brother was visiting from abroad and we wanted to do something special to mark the occasion so we went to hear The Michael Nyman Band who were playing in Hall One. The music was stunning and totally engrossing. The twelve piece band filled the room with layer after layer of melody - and you could...
I was unable to use the opportunity to take advantage of early booking ( through fan club) to book tickets for forthcoming Daniel O Donnell concert as I needed to book accessible wheel chair seats through box office.I was told to ring at 12.00 on the date the tickets were released so decided to go i...
We went to see Tim Minchin, we got directed downstairs initially however an usher advised we were in the wrong seats and asked us to move upstairs. Upon moving upstairs we were then refused entry because the show had started so we missed the majority of the first half of the show.
The fact the us...
The most beautiful place to go. 3 stage and classrooms, just magnificent, and the cakes are very good!!
This review relates only to the Sage's website - which is an absolute shambles!
Amazing building. A spectacular sight from the Tyne bridge. The acoustics are incredible inside. A great experience.
This place have a very good energy. Classic music vibration
Fantastic music venue. Something for everyone, a wide range of artists, bands, shows, etc. caters to a variety of tastes.
Very good lesson for someone with no previous experience well presented
Nice venue and very clean and efficient. However, the ushers attitude was very abrupt when telling people that no photos are allowed. I appreciate that might be the rules, but at least say it in a nicer tone
Impressive building with very very sofisticated concert halls.
Always welcoming and staff helpful when approached by a small tour party to request access to see the concert venues.
We had fun doing the Halloween trail around the building, and the gift shop was very sweet!
Purpose built performance venue with great acoustics. Hall One is for large performances; Hall Two is smaller, with tiered seating, and more intimate atmosphere. Cafe and restaurant on site, and parking, too.
Had afternoon tea on 15th June. Lovely food ,fab view and special thanks to Denise for her care and attention. Very pleasant experience. Thank you.
Probably the best concert venue i have seen in the UK! Amazing building, highly recommend a visit
Excellent music venue, great building and location.
Worked there for years so please allow for a certain bias!
Go to hear the Royal Northern Sinfonia, Mogwai, or Kathryn Tickell on Northumbrian pipes - or just for the view. Superb halls; excellent musical mix; great participation programme (from pre-birth to near death); friendly, helpful staff; oh ...
A brilliant venue with fantastic acoustics. The shop and cafe are lovely too with a good selection of cakes etc.
The Sage is a nice venue, but the programme of concerts is a little disappointing for a city of this size. Both of the main performance spaces are excellent, and there are places to eat. Situated on the banks of the Tyne, there is good sirloin and public transport links, and they are wheelchair frie...
5 stars just for the architecture. An amazing building!
But also a great music venue with many and varied artists
Been a couple of times now to see very different shows and I like it. Seating is comfortable and you have plenty of room between seats. There are no bad views, every seat has an unobstructed view of the stage. There is on site parking however in our experience it takes a long time to get out after t...
a great venue for live music and theatre plus special events.
Stunning building, with good seating, excellent acoustics and decent toilet provision. Food, drinks and parking are a bit pricey, but that's normal at these types of venue.
The staff are polite, helpful and efficient.
Great views of the Millennium Bridge, especially when it's illuminated at night.
Nice venue. Awesome gig. The Beach Boys were brilliant!
Beautiful structure and great events held all the time.
Was at the Sage for the Americana festival Saturday 22/07, the live music, the venue, the atmosphere all made the day stand out as a good one despite the early intermittent weather. The food inside the building and out in the stalls were good quality and ideal and ran well with the theme of the da...
This review is only about the outside architecture. Looks really nice from quayside on the other side of the Tyne. I wasn't as fascinated when I got up close, but still an interesting building.
It's a great place to play, but there is so much wrong with the organisation of this place, I may never go back as an audience member.
Great purpose built venue for live music. Great building.with fantastic views of the river and Newcastle Seen Steven Wilson here, acoustics superb and in surround sound. Fantastic musicianship. Would definitely see more gigs here.
